Oak of Odin
(a sonnet)
Weathers strife-storms and still stands tall,
Unbowed by wyrd’s winds, orlog’s rain;
Goals and feats to grow might and main,
Worthy works to inspire us all.
Oak of Odin opens word hoard,
Ring-breaker drops wit-wealth, hard-won,
Great gifts given everyone
That they may sharpen mind’s sword.
With wisdom such I ween he’s drunk from Mimir’s well,
And roots running deep in courage and will,
Group’s steady guide through good and through ill-
I hail our Ritari, Erich Campbell:
Hail, awesome Odin’s oak, organizer of hall-
Hail, and thanks, for what you’ve shared with all.
